According to a March 8 report by the World Health Organization (WHO), there are over 100,000 confirmed cases worldwide and over 200 cases in the U.S. While over 3,800 have died from COVID-19, the official name of the disease contracted from the new coronavirus strain.On Saturday, Italy announced an unprecedented move by quarantining approximately 16 million people across 14 provinces in an effort to contain the virus. The European nation has 7,375 confirmed cases according to a tracker from Johns Hopkins University, while 366 people have died.
