Cute Knight Kingdom Walkthrough Endings

Not a bad game, but the POV character gives up WAY too easily. I played the game twice, one time trying to train an artist and the second time trying to train a mage, and both times trying to balance education, jobs and getting her stronger mentally and physically. Both times she gave up and settled for being a candlemaker, though that was not what I wanted at all. Apparently, as in the first game, there's a time limit, though in this case it's not three years but only a matter of months. It's not a bad game-I've played far more annoying ones-but it gives the player little latitude. There seems to be a set way to achieve certain goals, and if you don't know what that way is or don't want to play according to that set way, the game rushes you to the default ending. I don't care for that.

2011-12-7  To get all endings, simply replay as much as necessary, each time fulfill a different set of requirement. If you get problem with a specific ending, you may want to check out the respective thread for that ending in this forum, or ask questions (also in the relevant thread).

The game should be more open-ended.Perhaps I would have done better if I'd waited until the walkthrough was up. I don't know. I really liked the idea of this RPG type game and was very eager to try this out, but was deeply disappointed and incredibly frustrated.First: Every time I walked my character over to somebody else to talk, there was a waiting (loading?) time for over a full minute - where the character froze and nothing moved - before the conversation started. If I talked to the person again to try another of their topics, the same waiting time applied.

It was really grating on my patience, and although I played the whole hour through, I didn't get time to try much because of this. In a game where so much is based on conversations, these long loading times are a huge put-off.Second: During my hour of play, I managed to have her talk to the people of her home village and walk her up to a bigger town up the map, where there was a castle. She didn't get time to talk to all the persons there (because of the loading time) before the hour ran out - but what I did discover was that you obviously need to find the specific teacher for your char's abilities, or she doesn't want to learn much.

Suddenly, in the middle of talking to a person while still trying to figure out where to find a trainer for her, she suddenly decided she would give up everything and start working for her mother - ending the game - and she wasn't even a month into the game. I thought we had a time level of 3 years to train her!I never figured out how to raise her dream level, which kept decreasing every time she did any attempt to do a job to earn money - and since she liked none of the available jobs in her neighbourhood, she never earned any money and thus never got enough money to take any classes.

So what in heaven's name are we supposed to do to get a chance to give her any training before she gives up and ends the game? The entire thing was a huuge disappointment. She gives up waay too fast. There should be a way for her to train herself gradually up until she has enough money/skills to start taking on the jobs you want her to concentrate on. If they tell us at the start of the game that she has 3 years to decide her destiny in life, why does the game have her giving up after a month? Her dream vanished? How do you keep her dream level up when there are no trainers or jobs available that she will enjoy doing? (And in real life, you usually don't START up with your dream job anyway, you need to work to get there.)I hardly got time to try the fightiEdited on at 8:21:26 AM PST.

(sorry, my last post got cut off.)I hardly got time to try the fighting thing, so I didn't get time to figure out what significance that would have to her skills or dreams. All I managed to do before she gave up, was meeting a bramble bush and a sparrow, and since she had no weapon and no fighting training, those encounters didn't go well. Is she supposed to learn skills from these fights or earn money/things she can sell?

All I got from those fights was a potato worth 1 coin. All in all - expectations were high - game play turned out to be way below par because of loading times and lack of trainers/jobs and her giving up the moment the 'going gets tough' - result was huuge disappointment. So huge that I had to get it off my chest here in the forum.

The game promised to be so much more than it turned out to be, and the developers could so easily adjust it to work out better.Sigh.Edited on at 8:33:00 AM PST. General recommendation: Try the demo before buying. You'll either love the game or hate it. One very important note. If you hate reading and/or storylines you will hate this game.

This is very heavy on dialogue.Graphics: Not very exciting. This is not 'eye candy' by any means.Sounds: Limited. Music was ok, but repeated quickly. The battle sounds get repetitive quickly.Game length: This is not a quick game even without some of the loading time issues reported. This is not a coffee break game that you play for a few minutes, you can spend a couple hours playing one character before the game ends.Reading: As I said before, this is a very reading intensive game that depends heavily on a story line.

If you start a new character you have to repeat dialogue with characters even if you know what they are going to say. This will definitely not be popular with some.Other technical notes: No autosave function. Come on designers, be serious.Difficulty: Many others have commented on this. The key to the jobs is not to skip around trying them all. Your character will be unhappy for the first month in a job because she won't be good at it. This kills her dream quickly.

Take a job and stick with it. Take advantage of the free room in your village for sleeping to recharge your health. Also, don't be afraid to use the points to boost your performance when you can since you can recharge for free. It's especially important to do this in your classes since they are so expensive. Rest up before class. This seems like a poor review but this is a game where if you like RPGs you'll sink your teeth into it, but if you aren't into them you're better off with another game. Personally I love these but they aren't for everyone.

Another key point: pay attention to the descriptions at the beginning of the game when you choose your 'birth month'. In the original 'Cute Knight' game, the point was not really to figure out the one 'right' ending, but to explore many different storylines. If you pick a birth month that gives a horoscope of loving adventure, then go & pick a job to learn like (for example) waitressing, which isn't particularly adventurous, your dream bar will drop much more quickly. As far as I know there is no way to go back later & look at the horoscope for each month, so I advise jotting it down as you are starting - put it on a sticky note or something, so you can choose accordingly. The replay value was one of the best parts of the first game. I'm glad to see a new one, so I can explore this new character and find as many of the endings as possible! SmallT wrote:eddyatwork. Thank you!I was trying to make my Character do ALL of the jobs. So thank you for this tip!

When I try it again later, I will be sure to focus on one sort of training!Welcome to the pond! I'm glad the hint helped you. Some more for you and anyone else.JOB: As I said, don't be a job hopper trying every single career path. You'll be a jack of all trades and master of none. It's like the real world. If you take a job and quit after a week, you won't become skilled in the field.

Also, note what skills and abilities go up or down and decide what is in your best interest. One skill I strongly recommend is stamina.

Even if you never pick a fight a higher stamina will help you in that you rest less frequently. One other tip is to work a week to see what skills are needed. Some are obvious like a chef needing cooking. Others you'll want notes on. Don't work against yourself. In other words if a job lowers charm and you want to be a charmer then obviously don't work that job. Note that many places you start out in one job then can be offered another after some time.

If you are a cook, you can get a job as a cake decorator later.REST: This is key. One big advantage is mom and dad's house. You recover in one night and best of all, they don't charge you to stay there. If you work at another location, it's still worth it to wander home and rest for free instead of paying for an inn especially in the beginning when money is tight. Rest is important because if your stamina or mind power gets too low it directly affects your mood, causing you to perform poorly, get lower pay, and worst of all, lowered dream. In other words you'd be crazy not to rest at home for free and avoid all that.

Resting at mom and dad's house is key to this game!MONEY: Money is even tighter here than in the real world. Invest in yourself first turn. For example, take the cooking class. You'll run out of money. Spending that money will pay off since you'll have higher skills which means more satisfaction and more money.

This will pay off. Some more hints, especially concerning dream. This is one of the biggest thing people seem to have problems with because it's so easy to have your dreams die and of course you 'lose' the game. How you can help it.Read the dialogue and ask every question you can. There are a lot of hints given out if you pay attention and don't blast through the dialogue. Remember, this is a reading intensive game for a reason. If you missed something you can ask again without the people getting mad.Build stamina as quickly as possible. Even if you're never going to fight, it's good to have about 40 or so stamina.

This means you can work a couple weeks in a row without having to worry about losing dream because you are too exhausted to work and do poorly at your job.Become skilled at your job. As stated earlier, a major loss of dream is poor work days. Think about real life.

When you do well at work you are happier than when you hate your job. If you can build a skill needed for work without going broke, do it. Remember that you can boost your job performance indicated by the colored bar.

Bloody endings

Certain jobs are more physical so sheer effort helps, while others are more mental so concentration helps. It's usually pretty obvious from the kind of job, but just looking at how much the meter gets boosted makes it clear.Rest, rest, rest! Mom and dad will let you sleep for free and you recover all of your points in one night.

Did I mention it's free? Even if you are at another site like the castle, frontier, or beach, go to the village. As long as you stay on the road you won't be attacked by monsters and it's only a day at most so why spend 50 at the inn when mom and dad will welcome you openly.A big way to build dream is to visit the cathedral on the 24th of the last month for the festival. Visiting other festivals will help as well plus give you non-combat tasks, like baking the best food or being the most charming at the ball. There are several festivals so take advantage. It's like going to a fall harvest county fair. Even if you are from the city it's still fun to get out of the house.

Another way is the vacation at the beach. It can be expensive, but it's worth it just for the dream boost. This is where taking notes helps so you remember when to go to certain places. There are other things you'll notice but I don't want to spoil everything.Edited on at 4:11:36 PM PST.
