The game ends with both heroes hanging onto a helicopter, flying off as the Albatross explodes.GameplayIn Bionic Commando Rearmed, the player controls Nathan Spencer, a soldier who has been given a bionic arm.

The arm is equipped with several features including a grappling hook which can be used to reach distant objects. The player uses Spencer's bionic arm to swing across gaps or climb to higher ledges.

Often, the player must make a series of grappling actions in a row to successfully traverse hazards such as a wide gap or an electrified floor.Spencer earns a variety of weaponry and items by defeating level bosses. Some items and weapons must be acquired before certain areas can be entered: for example, the player must locate flares that can then be used to illuminate dark areas. Levels are presented to the player as an overworld-style tactical map showing friendly and enemy areas. The player controls a helicopter to move between areas, and can then select to infiltrate that area on foot.

While in the overworld view, enemy convoys will also move between areas. If the player's helicopter encounters a convoy, the player must fight through it on foot and destroy the enemy anti-air truck before the helicopter can proceed. Such levels are presented from a top-down perspective. While Bionic Commando Rearmed remains mostly true to its NES counterpart, a number of gameplay enhancements were made. A health bar replaces the game's original health system of a limited health pool which grows after collecting bullets from defeated foes.

Players collect health items from enemies to restore health, as opposed to the original system which involved earning more hit points. Defeating enemies with full health now awards players extra points, encouraging players to avoid being hit in order to obtain high scores. Players can extend Spencer's bionic arm to grab oil barrels and throw them at enemies, or use them as temporary shields.

Weapons can now be changed instantly during gameplay, as opposed to being limited to one weapon per mission. Boss battles have also been redesigned. Each battle now makes unique use of Spencer's weaponry and bionic arm. In one example, the player must latch the arm to a screw on the boss character's vehicle, then pull back to expose a weak point in the armor.

Additionally, the final boss battle has been extended to a complete level as opposed to the ending sequence of one. Hacking into enemy communications now involves navigating a three-dimensional puzzle as opposed to simply choosing to hack.

New to the remake are Challenge rooms which involve using the bionic arm to traverse a course as quickly as possible. Force feedback has been implemented when using the bionic arm, firing weapons, and other events. Video Review and Screenshots.

Originally posted by BeDigital07:If this game is so cool, well then why the fuck wont the Boss at the level Four turn around som i can kill him!!so any tips guys??I tossed a grenade at him and it killed him instantly. So just get one grenade to land at his feet and then run and hide until it explodes and kill him. Once he's dead, I think you need to kill the rest of the guys but that shouldn't be too hard. Also remember that you can use your claw to deflect enemy bullets (there is even an achievement for it). It isn't needed so much in Easy or Normal, but it can still be useful to get out of some tough situations. If you find that enemies are shooting at your upper body as well as your legs at the same time, crouch down and deflect the leg shots. This may or may not apply to the Area 04 boss.I can't remember. K i was playing for a while and managed to figure out the grenade thing, which as you said killed him with one hit, boy did i feel like a jack ass when that happened.i even managed to clear almost all of the challenges ive come across so far, and im getting a handle on this swinging shit.note to self: the analogs IMHO sucks balls when attempting a precise swing, use the key-pad.new issue, how do i get the green chip, and what is the green chip.

Mind you i have been searching for this shyt on the internet for a few days now since the hurricane decided i could use two days off from work without pay.honestly i cant find shit about this game other then a few you tube videos.( thanx for the one that showed how to beat that truck thing. ) man cuz i never saw the damn bolts till i saw the video. But nothing about how to progress, normally you beat level one and 2 opens up, WTF is this chip shit about?off to google for a green chip. Originally posted by BeDigital07:new issue, how do i get the green chip, and what is the green chip. Mind you i have been searching for this shyt on the internet for a few days now since the hurricane decided i could use two days off from work without pay.The chips are all items that you pick up in the FSA bases. I'm not sure which one the green chip is in, but just check the ones that you haven't been to yet.The FSA camps (good guy camps) are areas 00 and 13+, IIRC.And I love the analog stick for challenges. D-pad just doesn't cut it for me on the 360, even though I've done the sanding trick and it works fine now.

Yeah, I used the analog stick for everything.I think the green chip is in Area 13. Basically, each FSA camp has 3 doors you can go in.

One leads to a challenge room (it has a red sign above it), the other to a free life pickup (it has a syringe sign above it), and the last to an item (it has a blank white sign above it). The items are generally computer chips (such as the green chip) but can also include things like equipment(the steel boots for example). I think the only exception to this rule is Area 00 also has a door with a whirlwind icon above it (it is actually the Yoshichi icon) and opens when you collect the 12 Yoshichi in the game).Edit: Now that I think about it, I think the green chip is in the FSA base to the right of Area 6 (can't remember which area number it is). Also the chips aren't related to the challenges aside from the fact that you need the chips to access some of the areas that hold secret challenge rooms (they are unlockables). You'll need the chips to get through the game anyways, so it isn't something to worry about.

Ok theres a FSA camp on the ps3 where the box #4 is. This one is blue as hell when you go in, three doors, all open, one was where i got the flash thing, another door had a freebie, some little dude lookin thing, and the last door was the challenge room.another FSA camp is marked with the number 14, this one has three doors aswell, but one of them is closed and i cant get in, grenade didnt do anything??? One other room gave me a shoe i think, the other is the challenge room.the last FSA camp i have access to is the one marked 13, and for some reason i cannot go back there from main continue screen. The yellow chpper thing just hovers when i try and direct it to the box marked # 1.

The little white curved line that shows the chopper travel path is lit up between box 4 and 1, but i cant do shit. Wait a fuckin minute, im hovering over absolutely nothing, and i see a base. This is the one, somewhat above where the box marfked 15 is. This is really stupid, i guess i should have found this out eventually, but honestly there is nothing indicating that going in that direction is possible.no fuckin little white curvy line showing you that the chopper goes that way. I happened it on pure fuckin luck after making myself look mentally fuckin retarded. Thanks again for ya tips, i know now there are no laws baby, try fucking everything. Thanx, ill be messing around with these three levels for a while.its the little shit like the syringe above the door that escapes me.

I never seem to notice these things.that got me thinking about the syringes, i never noticed that either, ill go on a lil rampage tommorow through the first few levels to see if i see anything, lol.the door i mentioned that was closed was in the FSA camp tho, no enemies so i dont see how to get this one open.others have mentioned cracks in the floor or something to blow up and find secret shit, havent noticed any of those and ive been looking for those specifically.im just rambling lol, game is good though im enjoying it despite me ranting on and on. I love the game and can't stop raving about how great they made it.for anyone curious:360 vs PS3 version comparisonfrom what I've read on the net so far with people who have played both the 360 and PS3 versions is that:- the PS3 loads about twice as fast.- the PS3 version is about 374mb while the 360 version is 213mb. It's likely the 360's longer load times possibly come from having to decompress some of the data- the PS3 version includes a short trailer for the new bionic commando game, but is a seperate download on the 360- the PS3 doesn't have the long initial load time when you first start the game that the 360 has- the PS3's audio is noticeably louder, crisper, deeper bass, better mixed, uses the rear speakers more with surround sound than the 360.- the PS3's audio is uncompressed, but not for the 360- the PS3 version only outputs uncompressed stereo if you're not using HDMI. It does not output dolby surround sound out an optical cable- the 360 version looks more vivid and colorful, especially grass and other foliage- the 360 version looks crisper and sharper, while the PS3 looks softer.

Seems to be subjective which is better- the PS3 has an exclusive challenge room not available on the 360- the 360 version sometimes has screen tearing and slowdown, while the PS3 just has rare occasional slowdown with no screen tearing- the PS3 version users vertical sync while the 360 version does not - which I think is what actually causes the tearing in the 360 version- the PS3 has softer and more natural looking shadows. I VILL TAKE OVER YOUR ARMY AND RULE ZE VERLD! - View image here: -I know it's tongue in cheek from Simon, but I still lol'd. I've never played the game before BC:R and even I knew he couldn't jump! I've got the PC version on a 8800gt,3.0ghz c2d through my HDTV @ 1920x1080/60hz via DVI-HDMI and it runs awesome. I have to force vsync on in the Nvidia control panel to smooth out tearing and the first like 2 seconds of every level stutter right after I land and start moving (loading I assume) but after that it runs silky smoova.Do the console versions have 5.1 sound? The PC version doesn't (or I can't figure out how to enable it) but Dolby Pro Logic is fine.I'm using a 360 controller w/the wireless USB dongle and I assume it functions exactly the same on the 360 proper.Edit: for the difficulty I'm finding Normal way to easy and Hard too difficult.

Bleh. The PC version only has one save slot too which is fucking lame.
